About us
What we stand for
Mabuhay means “long live” — and it’s how you welcome someone home.
Mabuhay Boxing exists because everybody deserves a room where they are taken seriously.
Not just the athlete who already looks the part — the six-year-old who has never made a fist, the teenager who needs somewhere to put their energy, the parent starting over at forty. Same coaching, same curriculum, same standard. That’s the whole idea, and it is why the price is the same whatever age you are.
We are a Filipino-American gym in the heart of Daly City, and the values are the ones most of us were raised on: you show up, you respect the person across from you, you look after the people beside you, and you finish the round. We put those four cornerstones — discipline, respect, intelligence, tenacity — into every class on purpose, because they outlast boxing.
Boxing is the vehicle. The community is the point.

Head coach & founder
Coach Irwin
USA Boxing Certified
Irwin started coaching boxing out of a shared martial-arts floor in Daly City, with a handful of students and a timer. He built the ranked curriculum the gym runs on because he could not find one — boxing gyms tend to hand you a bag and wish you luck, and he wanted his students to know exactly what they were working toward.
That group grew into a community: kids who now spar, parents who joined after watching, competitors who came for the coaching and stayed for the room. Mabuhay Boxing is that community given a home of its own.
✎ Irwin — replace this with your own words. Worth including: years boxing, who you trained under, amateur record if you want it public, your certifications, and what made you start.
